Meet Dr. Alexis, Cardiothoracic Surgeon In-Person

Dr. Alexis of Good Samaritan Hospital will talk about heart health and cardiology services. 

Dr. Alexis earned her medical degree from Albany Medical College where she graduated in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and received the Ralph D. Alley Prize for clinical acumen in Thoracic Surgery. She completed her categorical General Surgery internship at Northwell Health and continued her post-graduate training in integrated Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, where she served as Chief Resident.

Dr. Alexis has an interest in global health and was awarded the Thoracic Surgery Residents Association/Society of Thoracic Surgeons Global Outreach Fellowship. She has been fortunate enough to have provided medical care on four continents, treating a variety of pathologies. Dr. Alexis has additionally held leadership roles on the board of the New York Society for Thoracic Surgery and the Journal of Cardiac Surgery.

Dr. Alexis has published numerous articles on a variety of cardiac surgery topics such as structural valve techniques, surgical valve treatment algorithms, and operative outcomes, and she has presented at many national/international conferences such as the Mitral Conclave and London Valves
