Ellis Island - Island of Tears, Island of Joy (Hybrid) In-Person / Online
Ellis Island is often referred to as the “Island of Hope” and “Island of Tears.” Come find out why. Mario Medici will present a lecture covering the island’s earliest days up to the present day. Relive some of our immigrants’ experiences and stories, along with their fears and disappointments. Lecture will include actual immigrant pictures both past and present.
This presentation will by hybrid. You may join us in person at Suffern Library, or virtually via Zoom.
It is always preferable to participate in person, but in case you are not able to, all registrants will receive the Zoom link.
