Shall We Dance Piano Concert

Shall We Dance Piano Concert In-Person

Shall We Dance? Pianists Matthew Harrison and Vlada Yaneva return to Suffern Library with an exhilarating program that includes tangoes, waltzes and more featuring music by Harrison, Bach, Chopin, Debussy, Ravel and more.

Moving to music is a primal instinct, a basic need to feel and move and express ourselves. From the pulse of our heart to the beat of our feet, we are guided by rhythm and
inspired by melody. We dance alone, with a partner, and in long connected circles. We have always danced, we always will. In a matter of seconds we can be transported from the
dance floor to Buenes Aires, and moments later to another time with its formal Baroque steps. We might be flying and turning with a partner swept up in a Viennese Waltz, or
jumping and stomping in a Polish village to a lively mazurka. Join us as our fingers dance across eighty-eight keys and feel the urge to perhaps stand up yourself and take a step or
two . . . shall we dance?
