Secrets of the New York City Subways Online
Where can one find the most ornate subway station in the entire subway system? New York! Join this virtual presentation by Oscar Israelowitz and see works of art in hundreds of stations designed by Roy Lichetenstein, Heins & LaFarge, Squire Vickers, Herbert Dole, and Jay Van Everen. Enjoy fun stations where sculptures designed as man-eating alligators come out of a man hole cover. Enjoy works by the Guastavino Brothers in the City Hall station, Grand Central Terminal and the Municipal Building. There are great color and vintage sepia images dating from the 1880s through the present. This is a fun presentation and lecture of the entire City of New York subway system.
